Hadoop
Hadoop is an open source set of tools distributed under an Apache License (meaning, it’s not controlled by a specific commercial entity). Hadoop addresses challenges related to Big Data. Hadoop is not software you can download. It is a set of tools which make it possible to efficiently organize and access big data.
In a traditional approach, “big data” is stored in one location and cannot scale. Hadoop, on the other hand, works in a distributed model, where many low cost computers are connected to each other.
