Data Logger

Wikis > Internet Of Things > Data Logger
A data logger is a device which tracks and records information over time. Information is stored on the device itself or may be also communicated to a network. Data loggers are typically stand-alone devices, which record measurements such as temperature, velocity, humidity, light, resistance, GPS coordinates, etc.

Additionally, anything that “logs data” theoretically can be a data logger. For example, an iPhone and an Android mobile device can be used as a data logger, recording data with its native measurement capabilities.
